Judith Minerva Eklund age 74 passed away October 8, 2014 in Magna Ut. With her family surrounding her. She was born to Ruben and Dorothy Ames on February 11, 1940 in Salt Lake City UT. She was one of nine children. She married George Henry Eklund Jr. on May 27, 1961 in SLC UT.Later got sealed in the Salt Lake Temple May 27, 1977 with two of thier childern. She attended Granite High School. She worked at many different places. She worked in the nursing home in the sixty’s, worked in a plastic factory in the seventies; she also put computer boards together in the eighties. After that she took care of her family. She loved taking care of her family more than anything. Anytime her family needed her she would help them. She always had a full house of her family. She cared about each of them and loved them unconditionally. She would never let anyone live on the streets. If she could she would take the shirt of her back to help someone in need. She love to crochet and sewing was her hobbies. She made lot of things. She also likes to hunt, fish, and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband George Henry Eklund Jr., her son Jimmy Eklund, parents, brothers and sisters. She is survived by her five children, Maurice (Kathy) Dickinson, Marshal Dickinson, Henry, Ralph, Leslie (Steve), 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Friends and family may visit on Friday, October 17, from 6-8 pm at Valley View 4335 West 4100 South West Valley City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 18 at the Valley View Funeral Home. Friends and family may also call before the service at 10:00 -10:45 a.m.
